When you arrive in Kenya for a safari, you will most likely land in Nairobi where you will spend a few nights, 1 or 2 days, before you start your adventure to the safari parks & the beaches. Depending on the time of your arrival, you can schedule a visit to some of these exciting excursions Nairobi has to offer.

Maasai Mara National Park is the crown jewel of Kenya’s wildlife sanctuaries. Situated in the southwest of Kenya, the Maasai Mara is a vast scenic expanse of gently rolling African savannah plains. The park is a unique wildlife conservation haven, famed for its spectacular natural wildlife diversity.

The park is the “Home of the Gentle Giants”. This is because of the large herds of elephants that are found here. It is the perfect place to catch panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. Watching the wildlife against the backdrop of the impressive mountain is an awe-inspiring experience.

Situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares lies Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The animal sanctuary boasts more than 10000 large animals. It is also the only park in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees; these are animals that have been rescued from the black market. It is also a sanctuary for the southern white rhino and the endangered black rhino.
