Walking Safari

Day 1: Nairobi – Morijo

Depart Nairobi and proceed to Morijo for Lunch. We meet our Maasai guides who will accompany us for the next couple of days. Put up your tents followed by dinner and overnight at the camp site.

Day 2: Morijo – Oloitoktok Camp

Breakfast at the camp. You’ll spend the day trekking accompanied by Maasai guides. On a walk through Loita Hills, one gets to experience a true African authentic natural environment which has remained unspoiled by human activities. Enjoy picnic lunch enroute to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 3: Oloitoktok – Waterfall Camp

Early morning breakfast at the camp. Another day trekking with Maasai team, this walk will be strenuous as it involves going downhill to be able to reach the waterfalls and uphill back. Snacks will be provided on this part of the hike. Lunch will be served once you get back to camp. Discover various flora and flora varieties and occasionally you may spot some monkeys including the rare Columbus Monkey. Overnight at Camp site.

Day 4: Waterfall Camp – Pumba Water Hole Camp

A stunning sunrise will wake you up just after 6am. You will have a quick breakfast and at 8 am you will be on your way again. Walk through the forest in the morning with picnic lunch. On this day you can participate in some Maasai cultural activities like spear and club throwing competition with the locals and later in the evening, we will have a talk about the Maasai culture. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 5: Pumba Waterhole Camp – Enkutoto

Early breakfast and proceed to Enkutoto. This day gives you an opportunity to interact with the surrounding environment. Your guides will teach you different plants and their uses amongst the Maasai community. Picnic lunch. In the evening you will participate in goat roasting by the local Maasai. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 6: Enkutoto – Ilchorroi Camp

Breakfast at the camp. We will proceed with the walk to Ilchorroi camp with parked lunches. Your guides will be teach about the rift valley which you will descending, you will also be taught about different types of snakes, first aid primary and secondary survey. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Ilchorroi Camp – Nkurman – Nairobi

Early morning breakfast and proceed to Nkurman, the pick-up point for your drive back to Nairobi with picnic lunches. You will descending down the rift valley to Magadi basin with temperatures above 30 Celsius. Drop off at your hotel.
